Former Tyranny Fighter reviews Julian Heicklen Chronicles

In 2010 Tyranny Fighter George Donnelly was attacked by a group of law enforcers with god complexes who bodily rode him to the ground, seized his camera, arrested him and had him jailed and prosecuted because he was peacefully recording Julian Heicklen distributing jury nullification brochures on a public sidewalk.

His story, along with others victimized by the legal establishment, is detailed in Tyranny Fighters: The Julian Heicklen Chronicles (Chapter 14).

Today George writes "often dystopian, frequently heroic and always engrossing" science fiction novels. He recently took time to review my Tyranny Fighters book and post it on my Amazon page.

This review is from: Tyranny Fighters: The Julian Heicklen Chronicles
(Kindle Edition)

The power of one man doing something courageous and useful, and committing to doing it not just once but over and over again. That's what impresses me about this chronicle.

Just reading Heicklen's straight-talking accounts fills me with the a passion to follow his example. It was that passion that motivated myself and others in the Spring of 2010 to work with him.

Some parts of Reed's account are very absorbing. At times, the author is quite passionate and intelligent.

There are a few inaccuracies, including the claim that the Tyranny Fighters is an organization. It was just a mailing list for me. and 95% of the people on the list were just spectators. They didn't participate.

I expected this to be a story-ified account, perhaps with original content from interviews melded into a coherent story.

There were some typos. It was repetitive at time. I would have liked it to be more fleshed out.

But the mere act of documenting these unique incidents is quite valuable. Kudos to the author for all of his hard work.

I received a complimentary copy of the book.
